I am truly looking forward to being with all of you at St. Peter’s in the coming months as your “fill-in” pastor during Pastor Bekki’s maternity leave. The many opportunities I have had to preach and teach at St. Peter’s, to serve as a “coach” during your most recent call process, and to work together through our TACO connection, have essentially made me feel like a member here!! And what fun to be celebrating a new-baby event in the life of the congregation, particularly when it is your pastor that is providing such a special occasion.

I will be part-time for these four months, still enjoying the life-style of retirement with my other time. I am grateful that so many members of the congregation have agreed to step up and take on extra responsibilities to enable Pastors Bekki and Marcus to have this time with this new addition to their lives. But I also want to be available to walk with you as a congregation as you continue to grow in ministry and service during this time. I am excited about your developing ministries of sponsoring a refugee family and seeking discernment for responses to homelessness - issues close to my heart - as well as supporting the ongoing ministries and worship life that are unique to St. Peter’s. I am looking forward particularly to being with you in this liturgical Lent-to-Easter journey in which we are about to engage.

Please do not hesitate to call upon me for pastoral support in either congregational life functioning, or with personal concerns. First, you can call me “Pastor Bill”. Next, you can reach me by email at [email protected] or you can call the church office and they will put us in touch. You can also reach me through Janine at the church office.

SHALOM,

Pastor Bill
