Preschool Teacher: Diana
Hello St. Peter’s!
My name is Diana. I am looking forward to a fun school year! But first let me tell you a little bit about myself.
I’m from Tijuana. I love to travel, spending time with friends and family. I attended Centro de Enseñanza Montessori to get my certificate as a Montessori guide. In 2017 I moved to Loreto, Baja California Sur, Mexico, to help open the first Montessori in town. As well open an afternoon program for older kids.
Preschool Teacher: Josey
Hello St. Peter’s! My name is Josey.
I’ve been working with St Peter’s Preschool for 4 going 5 years, first starting as an aid and now a teacher for Pre-k students. I’ve achieved my associates degree in Behavioral Sciences at Grossmont College and strive to continue my education in child development.
My favorite things to do with the students include process/sensory art and science experiments. Some of my favorite things include nature walk/hikes, singing, playing guitar, line dancing, and horse back riding.
Preschool Teacher: Alanna
Hello! My name is Alanna and I am the Otter teacher.
I previously worked at St. Peters for 2 years as the Sea Star teacher, and left about 4 and half years ago. I returned as an aide in April of 2021 and after a couple months took over the Flying Fish class. In the fall of 2021 I became the Otter teacher! I love the kids, staff and the environment here so much. We truly have an amazing team!
Preschool Aide: Leslie
Hello everyone! My name is Leslie and I am one of the Teacher’s Aides here at St. Peter’s Preschool.
I have been with St. Peter’s for a little over a year and have loved every moment of it!
I hold my B.A. in Child & Adolescent Development from Point Loma Nazarene University (2013 grad) with a minor in Music Education. I’ve worked in preschool, after school care and as a piano teacher for many years.
Both of my children are St. Peter’s alumni and I can’t imagine a better place for them to have gone to preschool.
Preschool Aide: Heather
Hello! My name is Heather and I am so excited to be working with all the families and children at St. Peter’s!
I am born and raised in San Diego and also a PL local! I have always been fascinated with early child development. I have worked with younger children in many different environments such as babysitting, nannying, camp counselor and even teaching Pre-k.
Preschool Substitute: Bernardita
Preschool Aide: Veronica
Hi everyone! My name is Veronica and I am one of the Teacher’s Aids at St. Peter’s Preschool.
I just started this year and have already grown to love this place very much. I am a San Diego local and went to school at San Diego State University for a Liberal Studies degree with an emphasis in Elementary Education. My passion for working with youth started when I was about 15 as a gymnastics coach both competitively and recreationally, and have continued working with children ever since!
