Hi all! My name is Bekah, and St. Peter’s has been home to me for over 20 years now. I became affiliated with St. Peter’s in my junior high years when my Mom was the Office Manager for the church. I’d spend summers hanging out in the youth room and walking to the beach. Right out of high school and needing a summer job before starting undergrad, I started working here as a Teacher’s Aide quite confident it would only be for a summer. I ended up loving it so much that I continued here through the bulk of my undergrad years, and then started teaching in a classroom in 2008.

I’ve been working with St Peter’s Preschool for 4 going 5 years, first starting as an aid and now a teacher for Pre-k students. I’ve achieved my associates degree in Behavioral Sciences at Grossmont College and strive to continue my education in child development.
My favorite things to do with the students include process/sensory art and science experiments. Some of my favorite things include nature walk/hikes, singing, playing guitar, line dancing, and horse back riding.
Hello! My name is Alanna and I am the Otter teacher.
I previously worked at St. Peters for 2 years as the Sea Star teacher, and left about 4 and half years ago. I returned as an aide in April of 2021 and after a couple months took over the Flying Fish class. In the fall of 2021 I became the Otter teacher! I love the kids, staff and the environment here so much. We truly have an amazing team!
Hello all! I am Miss Jess. I am a native Obecian and live two houses down from the house I grew up in on Ebers Street. I, myself, attended St. Peter’s as a child and find St. Peter’s to be a home away from home.
I received my Bachelor of Art in International Child Welfare and a minor in African Studies. I was able to study abroad in Ghana, West Africa for a semester. There I worked in a remote village providing vaccinations to children aged 0-3 through a mobile clinic; as well as, served in a children’s home.
Working with children has been something that comes naturally for me since I was little and having to grow up with dozens of younger cousins! Nearing my 7th year working in early childhood education, I have been able to refine my skills as an educator across multiple roles and schools. Previously I have been a registered behavioral therapist, preschool teacher, and a program coordinator. I’m extraordinarily grateful to be a part of such a special community here at St. Peter’s!

I have been with St. Peter’s for a little over a year and have loved every moment of it!
I hold my B.A. in Child & Adolescent Development from Point Loma Nazarene University (2013 grad) with a minor in Music Education. I’ve worked in preschool, after school care and as a piano teacher for many years.
Both of my children are St. Peter’s alumni and I can’t imagine a better place for them to have gone to preschool.

I just started this year and have already grown to love this place very much. I am a San Diego local and went to school at San Diego State University for a Liberal Studies degree with an emphasis in Elementary Education. My passion for working with youth started when I was about 15 as a gymnastics coach both competitively and recreationally, and have continued working with children ever since!

Hello! My name is Cynthia and I am 27 years old. I was born and raised here in San Diego, California. I attended San Diego State University back 2017 and graduated in the Spring of 2021 with a bachelors of science in Child Development. As most girls, some of my favorite colors are pastel pink, pastel yellow, orange and deep forest green. I love to read, hike, run, play tennis, rollar blade, and craft. Another thing about me is I LOVE cowgirl boots and horses. Some things that bring peace in my life is the sunshine, the ocean, and my dog Leo. I am so happy to be part of St.
I am a San Diego native currently living in La Mesa. I have one younger brother, Jim who lives in San Diego. I have two adult children. My daughter Kelley, her husband, son and I live together. My son Kevin and his 2 sons live in West Sacramento which is only a short Southwest flight away.

I am born and raised in San Diego and I love going to the beach whenever I can. I have been working with children for 6 years and have a passion for early education. I am earning my associates in child development this semester and plan on continuing my education to earn a teaching degree. My dream is to someday teach kindergarten! I was a preschool teacher for 8 months and have worked in after school care, summer camps, and nannying.
