My name is Bernardita. I was born in Santiago, Chile and moved to the United States after graduating from Universidad Catolica de Chile with a degree in Executive Administration and Certification in Early Child Development. I gained valuable experience at my sister’s Preschool, “Caminito Jardin, “Nubes Blancas Jardin” and “Vitacura Polo Club.” My husband is Stephen born and raised in Northbrook, IL. He has a thirty-year career in lodging and destination hospitality and currently has his own enterprise. I have three children, Wayne Robert, Nicole, and Michael and had the blessing of staying home for their first 10 years. I participated in many activities of their development including serving as a room mother, sports, story time at the library and organizing holiday parties. A terrific blessing has been to see each graduate from Illinois State University. Our hobbies include boating, travel, music, camping, hiking, and the beach. I became a proud staff member of St Peter’s Preschool in October 2007 as an Aide and Substitute Teacher. In 2009, we moved to Miami and with tears in my eyes I had to leave the Preschool. However, in 2012 we returned to San Diego and St Peter’s as a Substitute Teacher, continuing through today. Working at St Peter’s Preschool for the last 15 years has been such a blessing. We have an exceptional team and great Director. I enjoy very much, working with our children. Each day is rewarding experience to contribute to their daily learning and personal growth.
