I am a San Diego native currently living in La Mesa. I have one younger brother, Jim who lives in San Diego. I have two adult children. My daughter Kelley, her husband, son and I live together. My son Kevin and his 2 sons live in West Sacramento which is only a short Southwest flight away.
I graduated from Whittier College with a BA and have taken numerous Child Development courses at Grossmont College. I served as a California Mentor Teacher for many years when I was a teacher. It was rewarding to help new ECE teachers get started on their journey with young children. I was the director at College Park Preschool for 5 years. Then I retired.
My professional careers include being a bank officer, a director of children’s ministries, a preschool teacher, and a preschool director. My favorite job was being a classroom teacher working with the children and their families. I am a member of Faith Presbyterian Church.
Now I enjoy substituting at St. Peters. It is a blessing to be a part of this school that is a loving and respectful environment for children, families, and staff.
Some of my favorite things are the color purple, reading, and cheering on SDSU basketball team. I enjoy traveling, getting to know people, and following the daily news. I like many foods; mangos, chocolate, and crème brulee are at the top of my list. Mornings are my favorite time of the day for each day dawns with new possibilities.
